Flushnet Document Sign

Terms of Service

Last updated: 2 September 2026

Flushnet Document Sign provides tools to capture, upload, sign, store and verify PDF documents. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to upload and sign each document and that your use complies with applicable law.

Electronic signatures

The service can apply electronic signatures and signature evidence to PDFs. The legal effect of a signature may depend on the document, jurisdiction, identity-assurance level, certificate, signing method and applicable law. A Secure Sign or other signature created through the service is not automatically a Qualified Electronic Signature (QES), advanced electronic signature, government-issued digital signature, or equivalent to a handwritten signature. Some documents or transactions may require a specific signature level or signing method, and you are responsible for checking the requirements that apply to your document.

Handwritten signatures and document integrity

If you draw, capture or upload a visible handwritten signature and place it on a document before Secure Sign, that visible signature becomes part of the document content protected by the resulting cryptographic electronic signature. A valid cryptographic signature can provide evidence that the signed version of the document, including the visible handwritten signature and other document content, has not been modified after signing. However, the presence of a visible handwritten signature does not by itself prove that the person whose name or signature appears on the document personally drew, created or authorised that signature. Flushnet does not perform handwriting authentication or biometric identification unless a separate feature expressly states otherwise.

Signing evidence may include the authenticated account, document identifier, document hashes, signing time, selected credential, certificate information and the explicit Secure Sign action. Cryptographic integrity and certificate validation do not by themselves establish the identity, authority, intent or legal capacity of a signer, and do not automatically establish an Advanced Electronic Signature or Qualified Electronic Signature.

Your certificate

You may add and use your own supported certificate. By doing so, you confirm that you are authorised to use the certificate and its private key. Using your own certificate may provide stronger evidence of signer attribution, identity or trust where the certificate genuinely identifies the signer, is valid, and is used under the signer's authorised control. The evidentiary strength of such a signature depends on the certificate, issuer, trust chain, signing method, private-key control and applicable law.

The presence of a certificate, including a certificate described by its issuer as qualified, does not by itself mean that a signature created through the service is a Qualified Electronic Signature (QES). Flushnet does not independently guarantee that a customer-provided certificate or a signature made with it has a particular legal, advanced, qualified or trust status.

Temporary document processing

When the Documents storage feature is disabled, new documents are processed on the server only for the temporary period needed to upload, preview, complete and sign the document and make the signed PDF available for download. They are not added to the persistent Documents library. The storage feature remains part of the service and may be re-enabled in the future. Documents stored before storage was disabled are not automatically deleted.

Accounts

The Account area is used for user management, plan and signature-credit status, subscription and payment management, and privacy/account controls. Document signing, your certificate and the Documents space are separate service features and are not part of account management. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and for activity performed through your account.

Subscriptions

The Free plan includes 3 signing operations per account. These included signatures do not renew monthly, and deleting documents does not restore used signatures. Pro subscriptions have their own recurring usage limits and renew according to the payment-provider terms until cancelled. Cancellation can be requested from the account subscription page, with access continuing through the paid period where applicable.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service for unlawful activity, infringement, malware, abuse, fraud or documents you are not authorised to process.

Service availability

We may update, secure or temporarily suspend portions of the service as required for maintenance, legal compliance or security.

Privacy

Our processing of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. Account data controls are available in the Privacy Center.
